About

A tactical, finance‑focused strategy. It rides uptrends with a 3× financial ETF, shifts to a safety mix (strong USD, gold, defensive sectors) when risk rises, and can briefly short financials during panics. A small sleeve rotates into winning big‑bank stocks.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks the health of the financial sector (XLF). If the short‑term trend is up and stress looks low, it rides the move with a 3× financial fund (FAS). If stress spikes or the trend turns down, it shifts to a safety mix (strong‑USD fund, gold, and a defensive sector). In rare panics it flips to a 3× inverse financial fund (FAZ). A small sleeve rotates into the strongest big‑bank stock(s). Bond and volatility checks control risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets big upside with 3x financials and smart hedges, delivering ≈44.8% annualized return vs SPY ≈21.2%, Calmar ≈1.39, and Sharpe ≈1.25. Expect higher drawdowns (≈32% vs ≈19%), but stronger long-run gains.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
