This strategy watches the financial sector, especially banks, every day. If bank stocks look strong, it may buy a fund that amplifies gains in financial stocks. If they look overstretched or shaky, it may buy a fund that rises when financial stocks fall. When stress is high, it moves into safer areas like gold, the U.S. dollar, healthcare, utilities, and consumer staples. It also sometimes adds the single strongest large bank stock.
