About

Two-sleeve, all‑weather plan. Sleeve 1 rides QQQ/BOTZ in uptrends and goes defensive in downtrends, with contrarian buys on extremes. Sleeve 2 is insurance: mostly short‑term bonds, switching to UVXY when markets overheat.
NutHow it works
Two sleeves, 50/50. 1) Offense/defense: Above the S&P 500’s 200‑day average, hold the recent winner of QQQ (big tech) or BOTZ (AI). If tech is too hot, hedge with PSQ (inverse QQQ). Below the 200‑day, favor Treasuries or shorts; buy QLD (2× QQQ) or SPY only on sharp selloffs. 2) Insurance: Mostly BSV (short‑term bonds), but switch to UVXY (volatility) when stocks are overheated or volatility is rising. Signals: 200‑day average, RSI (0–100 heat), 5‑day momentum. Uses inverse/leveraged ETFs; can be volatile.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this two-sleeve all-weather strategy offers better risk-adjusted returns and lower drawdowns vs the S&P: Sharpe ~1.52, max DD ~12.2% (vs 18.8%), return ~22.02% (vs 22.69%), Calmar ~1.80, beta ~0.64.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
