About

Aggressive, rules-based swing strategy that flips between 3x Treasuries (long or short), leveraged semis/tech, and VIX ETFs using a bond-trend “regime” and short-term hot/cold readings (RSI) on SPY and bonds. Designed for big moves; very high risk.
NutHow it works
1) Regime: If long US Treasuries rose over the past year, default to 3x long Treasuries (TMF/TYD); if they fell, default to 3x short Treasuries (TMV/TYO). 2) Short-term check (RSI = 0–100 hot/cold meter): if SPY is hot (>75), buy volatility (UVXY/VIXY). If SPY is cold (<27), use bonds as tie‑breaker: if bonds look weaker than high‑beta stocks, stay defensive (SQQQ/SOXS); else buy the dip (SOXL/TECL). Otherwise, hold Treasuries per regime.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~41% annualized return vs SPY’s ~21%, via regime-based shifts among leveraged Treasuries, high-beta tech/semis, and VIX bets. Bigger upside, but it carries larger drawdowns than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
