About

A fast-moving, rules-based strategy that rotates among 3x stock funds (UPRO/TQQQ), 3x Treasuries (TMF/TMV), commodities (DBC/DBA), volatility (UVXY), and a defensive basket (UUP/GLD/XLP/SHY). It buys dips, rides trends, and hedges when volatility flares.
NutHow it works
Three-part, tactical plan: 1) In rough markets it buys sharp pullbacks in the Nasdaq/S&P with 3x funds; if the rebound looks too hot, it shifts to a Safety Mix (USD, gold, consumer staples, short‑term Treasuries). 2) In calm markets it runs a high‑growth barbell: 3x stocks plus 3x long Treasuries; if stress rises, it uses the Safety Mix. 3) An overlay picks stocks or commodities by trend, then buys dips or recent leaders, or hedges when volatility jumps. Signals: short‑term drops, a hot/cold score (RSI), biggest recent fall (drawdown), and trend lines.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~32% annualized return vs SPY ~23% via dynamic rotation of leveraged ETFs, bonds, and commodities with hedges. Higher growth potential but bear drawdowns can be large (~63%), so best for risk-tolerant investors.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
