About

Rules-based switcher that pairs a cash-like buffer with tech, bonds, or hedges. Buys some tech on big dips, turns defensive below the long-term trend, and hedges with volatility/long Treasuries when markets get very hot.
NutHow it works
Tickers: QQQ=big tech, SPY=US market, SHV=cash-like T-Bills, ROM=2x tech, SQQQ=3x short Nasdaq, TMF=3x long Treasuries, VIXY=volatility, SPLV=low-vol stocks, BTAL=defensive long-short. RSI is a 0–100 “heat” gauge of recent moves: <30 washed-out, >80 very hot. It also checks the 200-day average (long-term trend). Logic: If 3x Nasdaq is washed-out, do 50% ROM + 50% SHV. Else check SPY vs 200-day. Below: keep SHV and pick QQQ or hedges (SQQQ/BTAL). Above: if very hot use VIXY+TMF; else pair SHV with TMF, QQQ, or SPLV.
CheckmarkValue prop
Rules-based rotation with a cash anchor and hedges. Out-of-sample max drawdown 12.6% vs SPY 18.8%, Calmar ~1.22—delivering stronger downside protection and smoother risk-adjusted returns, even as raw SPY gains run higher.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
