About
A rules-based strategy that mainly swings between tech-heavy growth funds, bearish funds, and short-term Treasuries based on market trend, recent momentum, and whether prices look overheated or oversold.
This strategy first asks: is the U.S. stock market in a long-term uptrend? If yes, it usually buys whichever is stronger lately: the Nasdaq-100 (QQQ) or a robotics/AI fund (ARKQ). If tech looks overheated, it briefly bets on a pullback with PSQ.
If the market is in a weak trend, it looks for “too far, too fast” selloffs and may buy the dip in QQQ, SPY, or leveraged QLD. If weakness continues, it shifts toward defensive choices like shorting the market (PSQ/SH) or holding short-term Treasuries (SHY).
Out-of-sample edge: ~30.85% annualized return vs ~20.36% for the S&P, with an oos Sharpe ~1.12. A tech-growth tilt plus tactical hedges targets bigger upside in up markets while offering downside risk control.
