This strategy makes daily yes/no decisions about whether oil looks strong or weak. If oil is trending up, it buys oil funds or the strongest energy stocks. If oil looks weak or shaky, it shifts into safer holdings like short-term Treasury funds, longer-term bonds, gold, or the U.S. dollar. It relies on simple trend checks: comparing recent prices with longer-term averages to judge direction, and using RSI as a short-term “heat” score to pick whichever option has the strongest recent momentum.
