About
A weekly strategy that buys strong large US stocks when markets look healthy, but quickly moves to cash-like T-bills, bonds, commodities, gold, or the US dollar when stress rises.
Each week, the strategy checks for market panic first. If fear is spiking hard, it moves to very short-term Treasury bills (BIL), which act like cash.
If not, it asks whether the bond market looks healthy using TIP, an inflation-protected Treasury fund. If TIP has been rising over the last 60 days, it buys the strongest recent winners among big US stocks.
If TIP has been weak, it shifts defensively into the strongest commodities and bond-related funds instead.
Out-of-sample edge: 32% annualized return vs SPY ~23%, Sharpe ~1.58, beta ~0.54. Weekly regime-switching: flee to cash/defense in stress, ride momentum in calm—stronger, more risk-efficient gains than the S&P 500.
