About

Regime‑switching, high‑octane strategy. In uptrends it rides recent winners (big US stocks and fast‑moving, often 3×, ETFs). If short‑term heat is extreme it flips to UVXY (volatility). In downtrends it buys the most beaten‑down picks with a small defensive hedge.
NutHow it works
1) Trend check: if the Nasdaq fund (QQQ) is above its ~9‑month average price, it’s “risk‑on”; otherwise “risk‑off.” RSI here is a simple “heat” score: high = hot, low = beaten‑down. Risk‑on: If short‑term heat is extreme (TQQQ or SPXL very hot), move to UVXY (a fund that jumps when markets panic). Else: 10% in a 3× S&P fund (UPRO) + 90% in the 9 strongest picks from big US stocks and fast‑moving ETFs. Risk‑off: If long‑bonds are weak: 10% TMV (3× short‑bond) + 90% in the single most beaten‑down pick (betting on a bounce). Else: 10% BTAL (defensive) + 90% in the two most beaten‑down.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: 17.95% annualized return with ~0.65 Sharpe and 59% max drawdown. A regime-switching, momentum-driven strategy targeting tech/mega-cap leaders, with a volatility hedge to pursue upside versus the S&P while accepting higher downside risk in drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
