About

Aggressive, rules-based strategy that rides tech uptrends with TQQQ, steps aside to T‑Bills when risk rises, and sometimes buys deep dips or hedges brief volatility spikes. Very high risk; not a passive buy‑and‑hold.
NutHow it works
Every day it asks: Is the trend up? Is the market too hot? Is fear spiking? Are bonds flashing risk? If trend is up and risks are low, it holds 3x tech/stock funds (like TQQQ). If things look overheated or scary, it parks in T‑Bills (BIL) or briefly uses a volatility hedge (UVXY). It also buys sharp dips when bonds aren’t warning.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 26.18% return vs SPY’s 20.72%, Calmar ~1.55. It rides tech uptrends with 3x ETFs and hedges with BIL/volatility to limit losses. Higher upside than the S&P, but drawdowns can be larger in volatile regimes.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
