About
A high-risk strategy that tries to ride big tech rallies with TQQQ, but switches to bearish, bond, or volatility funds when the market looks overheated, weak, or panicky.
This strategy is an aggressive market timing system that is usually all-in on TQQQ, a turbocharged bet on big U.S. tech stocks.
It first asks: is the overall U.S. stock market healthy? If yes, it mostly stays bullish, unless the market looks too hot or too shaky. If no, it becomes defensive and may switch into a fund that profits from falling tech stocks (SQQQ), long U.S. Treasury bonds (TLT), or a fear/volatility fund (UVXY).
It uses RSI as a โhot or coldโ gauge: very high means prices may be overheated, very low means they may be washed out.
Out-of-sample, this tactical tech strategy aims for ~57% annualized return vs 20% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.13 and Sharpe ~1.07. It targets big upside in tech rallies while hedging risk in stress, though larger drawdowns can occur.
