About

A daily, multi-basket, momentum-driven strategy that blends levered tech/QQQ bets with hedges (volatility and bonds), dividend/ARK overlays, and Bitcoin exposure. It uses RSI signals across many windows to tilt long/short and to rotate among assets, aiming for amplified upside with risk controls.
NutHow it works
What this strategy does in plain language: - It runs every day and re-allocates money among many different funds (ETFs and levered ETFs). - It uses momentum signals (RSI) over several time horizons to decide which bets to place up or down. If a signal looks strong for a specific theme (like tech, semiconductors, or broad market proxies), the strategy may buy a levered ETF that magnifies exposure (for example TQQQ for tech/QQQ, SOXL for semiconductors, TECL for technology). If momentum looks weak, it may hedge by taking the opposite bet (for example SQQQ to short QQQ or UVXY to bet on rising market volatility). - It also uses hedges and safe-cash proxies to reduce risk when conditions deteriorate. Examples of hedges and safeties include UVXY/VIXY (volatility products), BIL/SHY/IEF/AGG (short- and intermediate-term bonds or cash proxies), TMF/TMV (long-duration Treasury hedges), and EDV (long-dated bonds). - A number of blocks target specific themes (e.g., JEPI, ARK funds, Bitcoin ETFs BITO/BITI) either as core positions or overlays depending on signals. - Within each module, there are “Long” and “Short” branches, filters to pick top or bottom performers, and weights that sum to the module’s allocation. There are multiple guardrails (moving-average price checks, RSI thresholds, and cross-asset checks like Bond Market Check) to avoid obvious risk-on vs. risk-off conflicts. - The overall aim is aggressive upside from leveraged equity bets when momentum is healthy, while layering protective hedges and bond-like positions to cap drawdowns during drawdowns or regime shifts. It’s a sophisticated, highly active tactical strategy rather than a simple buy-and-hold approach.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
