A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

Daily, it puts 70% into the 5 most volatile big names. If one looks washed out, it buys a leveraged long on it; if it’s trending up, it holds VGT or the stock; only rarely shifts to cash or a 1× short. Expect a tech‑heavy, active, high‑risk profile.
NutHow it works
Each day, find the 5 names that moved the most in the last 14 days (volatility). Put 70% split across them; 30% stays in cash. For each pick: if it’s badly sold off (RSI<30 = recent momentum down), buy a leveraged long ETF; else if price > its 20‑day average (recent average price), hold VGT or the stock; else usually VGT/stock; rarely cash (BIL) or a 1× short ETF.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy aims for far higher growth than the S&P (≈46.8% vs 25%), with a Calmar ~1.7 and a tech tilt. It uses volatility-based picks, modest leverage, and a cash buffer to boost upside while managing risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
