About

A daily, all‑in switch between SOXL (3× long semiconductors) and SOXS (3× short), driven by a 7‑day momentum check comparing BIL vs BND. If BIL is weaker, go short; otherwise go long. Extremely volatile and concentrated.
NutHow it works
Each day it compares the past‑week “up‑vs‑down” score (RSI) of two bond funds: BIL (very short‑term T‑bills) and BND (broad US bonds). If BIL’s score is lower, it buys SOXS (a 3× bet against semiconductor stocks). Otherwise it buys SOXL (a 3× bet on them). All‑in, can switch daily. Very high risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample performance signals the strategy could deliver ~47.5% annualized returns versus ~20.8% for the S&P 500, with solid risk-adjusted metrics (oos Sharpe ~0.90; Calmar ~0.54). Note: it uses 3x leverage on semiconductors, offering great upside but higher drawdown risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
