About
An equal-weight portfolio of 10 big-name stocks that uses simple price rules to decide, one by one, whether to hold each stock or move that portion into short-term Treasury bills.
This strategy splits money evenly across 10 stock “slots.” Each slot watches one company, usually a mega-cap like Apple or Microsoft. For each stock, it asks: has the stock fallen enough to look potentially cheap, or is it still trending upward? If yes, it owns the stock. If no, that slot moves into BIL, a very low-risk short-term Treasury fund.
In plain English: it tries to own strong or recently beaten-down stocks, and step aside when conditions look worse.
Out-of-sample annualized return ~29.8% vs S&P ~19.7%; Sharpe ~1.34 vs ~1.27; Calmar ~1.58; positive alpha. Drawdowns are in the same ballpark, while the strategy delivers higher growth through equal-weight mega-cap rotation with built-in risk control.
