About

Daily, one‑ETF strategy. Rides a 2x NASDAQ fund in uptrends, but shifts to Treasuries, the U.S. dollar, staples, or volatility when markets look overheated. In downtrends it plays defense or buys brief oversold bounces.
NutHow it works
Daily, it checks if the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average (uptrend). In uptrends it usually holds QLD (2x NASDAQ‑100), but if prices look overheated (RSI, a 0–100 “hot/cold” gauge, is very high) it rotates to the strongest of TLT (long Treasuries), UUP (U.S. dollar), XLP (consumer staples), or briefly UVXY (volatility). In downtrends it plays defense (TLT or QID, −2x NASDAQ) unless the NASDAQ is very washed‑out, when it buys QLD for a bounce.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~53% annualized return, Sharpe ~1.33, Calmar ~1.73, vs SPY. It rides NASDAQ in uptrends and shifts to Treasuries/USD/staples in heat or weakness—delivering higher risk-adjusted gains than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
