About

Aggressive rules-based timer: rides TQQQ in good trends, flips to UVXY when stocks look overbought, and rotates into bonds/cash/dollar/gold or SQQQ when drops, volatility, or rate trends warn of trouble. Uses simple hot/cold (RSI) and trend filters.
NutHow it works
Goal: ride tech uptrends, hedge when markets look overheated or weak. If short‑term “heat” readings (RSI) across several stock funds are very high, it buys UVXY, which usually jumps when fear spikes. Otherwise it holds TQQQ (triple‑speed Nasdaq‑100) while the trend is up. After sharp drops or rising rates, it shifts partly or fully to “safe havens” picked from Treasuries (TLT/TMF/IEF), cash (BIL), the US dollar (UUP), or gold (GLD). In downtrends it may hedge with SQQQ or buy oversold tech (TECL/SOXL/SPXL).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe ~1.63 vs SPY ~1.02; Calmar ~4; annualized return ~147% vs ~18%. An aggressive, trend-following approach that captures tech upside with tactical hedges (UVXY/SQQQ), delivering far higher growth despite larger drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
