About

Aggressive, tactical plan: ride tech uptrends with TQQQ; when markets look overheated, take short‑term UVXY bets on a pullback; when trends weaken or rates/volatility worsen, rotate into Treasuries, cash, gold, USD, or short QQQ. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
First, it asks: is the S&P 500 in a long‑term uptrend (price above its 200‑day average)? If yes, it usually holds a turbocharged Nasdaq fund (TQQQ). If prices look “too hot” (very strong recent gains), it briefly switches to a fear‑spike fund (UVXY) to bet on a pullback. If tech weakens or volatility/rates worsen, it moves to Treasuries, cash‑like T‑bills, gold, the U.S. dollar, or at times a short Nasdaq fund (SQQQ).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe ≈1.55 vs S&P 1.02, Calmar ≈3.7, with stronger upside from tactical tech tilts and volatility hedges. Expect larger drawdowns, but superior long-term risk-adjusted growth versus the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
