About
A very aggressive tech-focused timing strategy that usually bets on leveraged Nasdaq gains, but can flip into volatility, bonds, gold, cash-like assets, or bearish positions when conditions turn risky.
This strategy is a fast-moving market timer built mainly around TQQQ, a fund that aims to move about 3 times as much as the Nasdaq-100 each day.
When tech looks healthy, it buys TQQQ or similar aggressive funds. When the market looks overheated, it jumps into UVXY, a volatility fund that tends to surge when fear spikes. If rates are rising or markets weaken, it may shift into Treasuries, gold, the U.S. dollar, or even a bearish Nasdaq fund.
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted return than SPY. Sharpe 1.34 vs 1.06; Calmar 2.64; ~97% annualized oos return with larger drawdowns. Aggressive tech timing with hedges aims for big upside and risk control in downturns.
