About

A daily “thermometer” approach: when many stock funds look overheated, it builds a larger position in UVXY to catch volatility spikes; otherwise it sits in defensive staples or bonds. Seeks smaller drawdowns than an all‑in UVXY bet, but it’s high risk due to UVXY.
NutHow it works
Each day the portfolio is split into slices. Each slice checks a different stock fund and asks: is it overheated? (RSI = 0–100 speedometer of recent gains; >75–80 = very hot.) If yes, that slice buys UVXY (a fear/volatility fund that spikes on market drops but decays over time). If not, it parks in Consumer Staples (XLP) or a core bond fund (BOND). A special rule also fires after a sharp 6‑day drop then 1‑day pop. More hot signals → more UVXY. Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Diversified volatility-timing across 11 signals. UVXY exposure rises only when many slices warn of heat, otherwise it stays hedged in XLP/BOND. Aims for steadier risk and a built-in hedge against spikes—offering a cautious alternative to the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
