About
A very aggressive daily strategy that mostly bets on big tech going up, but switches into volatility, bearish Nasdaq, tech, chips, or short-term bonds based on trend and “overheated market” signals.
This strategy makes daily bets around the Nasdaq-100, especially big tech.
It first asks: has QQQ (a big-tech market fund) risen too far, too fast? If yes, that slice buys UVXY, a fund that usually jumps when market fear spikes.
Otherwise it usually buys TQQQ, a 3x bullish Nasdaq fund, when the trend looks strong. If the market looks weak, it may instead try a rebound trade in tech (TECL) or semiconductors (SOXL), or switch to either a bearish Nasdaq fund (SQQQ) or short-term bonds (BSV).
Out-of-sample edge: ~52% annualized return, Sharpe ~0.97, Calmar ~1.40 vs SPY's ~14% return and ~0.85 Sharpe. Tech/semiconductor bets with volatility hedges target outsized gains, with higher drawdowns (~37%).
