About

A weekly, trend‑aware US stock strategy: all T‑Bills when the Nasdaq’s trend is weak; otherwise hold a diversified mix of US equity ETFs and a small, volatility‑scaled leveraged Nasdaq sleeve. Weak ETFs are swapped to T‑Bills until they recover.
NutHow it works
Each week it checks the Nasdaq 100’s trend using average prices. If the recent average is below the long-term average, it goes to short‑term T‑Bills (cash‑like). If the trend is healthy, it holds a mix of US stock ETFs (growth, value/fundamental, multi‑factor) plus a small, volatility‑scaled slice of a leveraged Nasdaq fund. Any ETF that weakens is temporarily replaced by T‑Bills. It gives more weight to steadier ETFs and less to jumpy ones.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted return and far lower drawdown vs the S&P. OOS Sharpe 1.26 vs 0.93; Calmar 1.52; max drawdown 8.69% vs 18.76%. Trend hedging plus inverse-vol weighting offer smoother, safer growth.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
