About

Rules-based, risk-on/risk-off rotation. Rides uptrends with SPXL (3x S&P), flips to SPXU (3x inverse) or TLT when signals warn, and taps VIXY/UVXY only during extremes. Uses QQQ/TQQQ as fast “heat” gauges to time shifts.
NutHow it works
First check the S&P 500’s long‑term trend (price vs 200‑day average). In uptrends it usually holds SPXL (3x S&P 500). If the market looks overheated, too jumpy, or after sharp drops, it flips to SPXU (3x inverse S&P), hides in TLT (Treasuries), or briefly buys VIXY/UVXY (fear ETFs). It uses fast tech gauges QQQ/TQQQ to spot extremes.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample return ~50.7% vs 22.2% for the S&P, driven by regime-switching and 3x leverage (SPXL/SPXU) with hedges (TLT, VIX) at extremes. Higher upside, but larger drawdowns (~44.8%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
