A fast-moving, high-risk strategy that usually bets aggressively on US stocks, but switches to bearish, bond, or fear-based funds when markets look overheated, volatile, or weak.
NutHow it works
This strategy asks one question each day: should it bet hard on the US stock market, bet against it, hide in long-term government bonds, or use “fear” funds? It treats SPY (big US stocks), QQQ/TQQQ (tech-heavy stocks), and volatility funds as warning gauges. If the market trend looks healthy, it usually buys SPXL, a fund that amplifies S&P 500 gains and losses 3x. If stocks look overheated, too jumpy, or panic is rising, it shifts to SPXU (bets against stocks), TLT (long Treasury bonds), or sometimes UVXY/VIXY (funds that rise when market fear spikes). In simple terms: it tries to ride strong markets, buy sharp dips, and turn defensive during stress.

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
