About

A daily, gold-only tactic that flips between 2x long (UGL) and 2x short (GLL). It follows the long-term trend but fades extreme spikes using RSI and short-term averages. High risk, single-asset exposure.
NutHow it works
It trades only gold via UGL (2x long) or GLL (2x short). Daily steps: 1) If gold’s 50-day average price is above its 200-day (uptrend), hold UGL—unless UGL’s RSI (0–100 “speed” meter) is extremely high (>80/90/99.9), then switch to GLL briefly. 2) Otherwise (downtrend), use short-term averages (20>50 or 5>10) and RSI. It typically holds GLL, switching to UGL when not overbought or when RSI is very low (<30). Always 100% invested.
CheckmarkValue prop
2x-gold strategy offers out-of-sample Sharpe ~3x the S&P, near-zero beta, and Calmar ~11. Inflation-hedged diversification with superior risk-adjusted gains vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
