About

Daily switch between UGL (2x gold up) and GLL (−2x gold). Trend filters set the bias; an RSI heat gauge flips sides at extremes. Designed to ride gold’s trend but fade short-term spikes. Always fully invested using leveraged ETFs.
NutHow it works
Each day it holds one ETF: UGL (about 2x gold up) or GLL (about −2x gold). It first checks trend using moving averages (50 vs 200 days, then 20 vs 50, then 5 vs 10). It then uses RSI—a 0–100 “heat” gauge of recent speed of gains—to fade extremes: very high → GLL; very low/short-term upticks → UGL. Always 100% in.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, a 100% gold-tilt strategy shows Sharpe ~3.0 vs SPY ~0.92, beta ~0.07, and Calmar ~10.9—delivering superior risk-adjusted returns with low S&P correlation and meaningful alpha, even with higher drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
