About

Mostly parks in a low‑risk cash‑plus mix. When markets look overheated (high RSI), it hedges with volatility/bonds; when washed out (low RSI), it makes small, short‑term rebound bets using leveraged ETFs.
NutHow it works
Most money sits in a “cash‑plus” mix: about 70% in an ultra‑short bond fund (PULS) and ~30% spread across the US dollar (UUP), gold (GLD), long Treasuries (ZROZ), a trend‑following fund (KMLM), a market‑neutral hedge (BTAL), plus SPY/QQQ. A tiny 1% sits in TQQQ. A small active sleeve watches a 10‑day RSI (a 0–100 “speedometer” of how fast price has moved). If RSI is very high (too hot), it adds a hedge (VIXY). If very low (washed out), it takes brief, small rebound bets with leveraged funds like TQQQ/UPRO/YINN/UPV. Otherwise it stays in the cash‑plus mix.
CheckmarkValue prop
Low-beta core with RSI-driven hedges and small rebound bets. Out-of-sample Sharpe ~3.8 vs SPY ~1.1; max drawdown ~0.27% vs ~2.12%; Calmar ~26.5. Strong risk-adjusted returns with far less downside than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
