About

Defensive, volatility‑timed mix: most capital fades overheated markets (buying VIXY) or hides in bonds/defensives, with occasional short‑tech/USD. A small 10% sleeve rides strong Nasdaq uptrends (TQQQ) or deep dips. Rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
Three sleeves (45%/45%/10%) checked daily. A “heat meter” (RSI) flags when stocks look too hot (>~80) or washed out (<~30). A “trend line” (200‑day average) splits bull vs bear. When hot, it buys VIXY (jumps when fear/volatility spikes). When weak/downtrend, it parks in BOND or shorts tech (PSQ) / holds USD (UUP). A small 10% sleeve buys TQQQ in clear uptrends or on deep dips; otherwise sits in XLP/BOND.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe ~1.72 and Calmar ~3.63 signal solid risk-adjusted gains with lower market beta (~0.7) vs the S&P. A volatility-timed defensive core plus a small upside sleeve aims to protect capital and capture selective upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
