About

Trend-following with a tech tilt: own QQQ in healthy uptrends with shallower pullbacks; flip to PSQ on fear spikes. If trend weakens, move to TLT. If the market is below its 200‑day average, hold a single cash‑like ETF. An overheat trigger can shift to UVXY.
NutHow it works
It holds one ETF at a time. - First, an “overheated” tech reading (a 0–100 heat score of recent moves on a leveraged tech fund >79) jumps to a crash hedge (UVXY). - Else, if the S&P 500 is above its 200‑day average and its latest dip is milder than the prior 6 months’ worst dip, own big tech (QQQ). If fear (VIX) is spiking, short it (PSQ) instead. - If the trend weakens, use Treasuries (TLT). If the market is below its 200‑day average, hold one cash‑like ETF (UUP = dollar, GSY/VCSH = short‑term bonds) based on which has moved the most lately.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge with risk controls: ride tech uptrends (QQQ) and hedge when fear spikes or trend weakens, staying near SPY on drawdowns. OOS Sharpe ~0.88, Calmar ~0.73—offering competitive risk-adjusted returns vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
