About

Daily trend switch: own QQQ in uptrends; otherwise choose PSQ (inverse QQQ) or SHY (short‑term Treasuries) by recent strength (RSI). Concentrated, tech‑tilted when risk‑on; defensive or short when risk‑off.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks simple trends. If SPY (S&P 500 fund) is above its 200‑day average price (average of last 200 days), it owns QQQ (big‑tech fund). If not, but QQQ is above its 20‑day average, it still owns QQQ. Otherwise it picks PSQ (moves opposite QQQ) or SHY (short‑term Treasuries) using 10‑day RSI—a 0–100 recent‑strength score. One holding at a time; rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Trend-following, single-holding strategy: QQQ in uptrends; PSQ/SHY in risk-off. OOS: ~11.66% annualized return, low beta (~0.06), solid risk metrics (Calmar ~0.56, Sharpe ~0.65) vs SPY—growth with built-in hedges.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
