About
A rules-based, daily plan that mainly holds QQQ when the market trend is up, parks in T‑Bills when things look too hot, and in downtrends may switch to short QQQ (PSQ) or Treasuries (TLT). It relies on simple “heat” and trend gauges.
Tickers: QQQ=Nasdaq‑100 stocks, SPY=S&P 500, BIL=US T‑Bills (cash‑like), PSQ=short QQQ, TLT=long US Treasuries. TQQQ/SQQQ/SPXL are leveraged “thermometers” only.
Daily: If SPY is above its 200‑day average (long‑term uptrend), hold QQQ unless very hot short‑term (then park in BIL). If below, favor safety: after sharp selloffs sometimes hold QQQ for a bounce; otherwise rotate to PSQ or TLT—whichever looks stronger. Uses RSI (0–100 heat gauge) and trend lines.
Out-of-sample, it targets ~21.5% annualized return vs the S&P’s ~16.5%, with better risk-adjusted metrics (Calmar ~1.14, Sharpe ~1.0) and lower beta (~0.89). Trend-following with cash/hedges aims to capture tech leadership and limit drawdowns to ~18–19%.
