About

Mostly hold QQQ (big tech). Step to T‑Bills when markets look “too hot.” In downtrends, buy dips in QQQ; if weakness persists, rotate to either a Nasdaq hedge (PSQ) or long Treasuries (TLT), based on short‑term strength.
NutHow it works
Daily check. 1) Big trend: If the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average, we’re in a “good” market; otherwise “bad.” 2) In good markets: Hold QQQ unless leveraged funds look overheated (a 0–100 “heat gauge” called RSI is very high). If overheated, park in T‑Bills (BIL). 3) In bad markets: Often hold QQQ on sharp selloffs (buy‑the‑dip). If weakness persists, switch to either PSQ (a one‑for‑one Nasdaq hedge) or TLT (long‑term Treasuries), choosing whichever looks stronger short‑term. RSI ≈ a 0–100 recent‑move gauge; 200‑day = long‑term trend; 20‑day = short‑term trend.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample shows 22.6% annual return vs SPY’s 16.7%, Sharpe ~1.02 vs ~0.94, Calmar ~1.20, beta ~0.87, with similar drawdown. A dynamic Nasdaq tilt with cash/hedges aims for higher risk-adjusted returns than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
