About

Rules-based, hedged, tech‑tilted portfolio. It rides US stock uptrends (QQQ/TQQQ), buys short‑term dips, and cuts risk when markets overheat or roll over using cash, Treasuries, inverse and volatility funds. Adds gold, oil, gas, and broad commodities when they trend.
NutHow it works
Goal: stock‑like gains with SPY‑level risk. Core: ride big US stocks (QQQ). In uptrends it holds QQQ or its 2–3x versions (TQQQ/QLD) and buys dips (when a short‑term “speedometer” called RSI says oversold). When overheated or trending down, it parks in T‑bills (SHV/BIL), long Treasuries (TLT/TMF), or hedges with inverse funds (PSQ/SH) and volatility ETFs (VIXY/UVXY/SVXY). Side sleeves add gold (GLD), broad commodities (DBC), oil (DBO), and natural‑gas (FCG/UNG) when they trend. Daily rebalanced.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample return ~28.6% vs SPY ~20.1%, with stronger risk-adjusted metrics (Sharpe ~1.15, Calmar ~1.34). A rules-based, hedged, tech-tilted strategy that captures rallies and dips while using cash/treasuries/gold/commodities to manage risk—higher upside, disciplined risk vs SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
