About
A very aggressive market-timing strategy that shifts between bullish and bearish bets on the Nasdaq, using bond and inverse-Nasdaq momentum signals to choose how strongly to lean.
This strategy makes a high-risk bet on the Nasdaq, especially big tech.
It watches two “temperature gauges” of recent price movement: one for Treasury bonds (IEF) and one for a fund that rises when the Nasdaq falls (PSQ). If conditions look favorable, it leans heavily into TQQQ, which aims to magnify Nasdaq gains. If conditions look unfavorable, it leans toward PSQ, which benefits from Nasdaq declines. It then picks the mix that has recently looked the weakest, hoping for a bounce.
Out-of-sample, this Nasdaq-timing strategy targets higher upside, delivering ~49% annualized return vs ~22% for the S&P, with ~48% max drawdown and a Calmar ~1.02. Strong risk-adjusted edge for growth-seekers who accept volatility.
