About

Simple daily trend switch: if QQQ is above its 100‑day average, hold TQQQ (3× Nasdaq‑100). Otherwise hold BIL (T‑bills). Aims to ride tech‑led uptrends and step aside in downtrends; expect high volatility when in TQQQ.
NutHow it works
Each day, check if QQQ (a Nasdaq‑100 ETF) is above its 100‑day moving average (the average closing price over ~5 months). If yes, go 100% into TQQQ, a fund targeting 3× the Nasdaq‑100’s daily move (big‑tech‑heavy). If not, go 100% into BIL, a short‑term T‑bill fund. Rebalance daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~16.8% with Sharpe ~0.63 and Calmar ~0.81 vs SPY’s ~-3.5%. Captures tech upside via a simple QQQ trend signal; levered exposure offers higher upside but can bring larger drawdowns in transitions.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
