TQQQ Safe Strategy

A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

A daily, rules-based tech strategy: ride Nasdaq uptrends with TQQQ, step into T‑bills when overheated, and in downtrends tactically rotate among oversold tech/semis, inverse Nasdaq, or short‑term bonds.
NutHow it works
First check the big trend: is QQQ (Nasdaq‑100) above its 200‑day average? If yes, usually hold TQQQ (3× Nasdaq). If QQQ looks “too hot” (RSI very high), park in SGOV (T‑bills). If momentum softens, hold 70% SGOV/30% TQQQ. If QQQ is below its 200‑day, take short‑term swings: buy oversold tech (TECL) or semis (SOXL), else choose SQQQ (3× inverse) or BSV (bonds) by recent strength, or TQQQ if price firms.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy tends to beat the S&P 500 by capturing Nasdaq rallies with leverage when favorable and reducing drawdowns via SGOV, bonds, and hedges in overheated or down markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
