About

Mostly ride TQQQ (3× Nasdaq‑100) when the market trends up. If prices get too hot—or in downtrends when TQQQ looks weak—temporarily switch to the most oversold bond or defensive sector (staples/utilities). Uses a 200‑day trend and 10‑day RSI.
NutHow it works
Daily check. 1) If the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average (uptrend): hold TQQQ (3× Nasdaq‑100) unless the market looks “too hot” (very high 10‑day RSI). When too hot, park in the most “oversold” of: short‑term bonds, long Treasuries, high‑grade bonds, consumer staples, or utilities (incl. a leveraged staples fund). 2) If SPY is below its 200‑day average: still buy dips in TQQQ when RSI is very low; otherwise hide in that same defensive list. RSI = 0–100 heat gauge.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: 22.3% annualized return vs SPY's 14.7%, with Calmar 4.17 signaling strong risk-adjusted performance. A trend filter plus RSI-driven defenses target higher upside while controlling drawdowns; Sharpe trails SPY (0.83 vs 1.94) but upside capture is improved.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
