About
A tactical system for sharp “pops” and drops in tech and broad stocks. It uses an RSI “heat” gauge, trend/drawdown brakes, and volatility cues to switch among 3x bull ETFs (TQQQ/SPXL/SOXL), their shorts (SQQQ/SOXS), a volatility hedge (UVXY), or cash (BIL). Very risky.
It’s a rules-based bot that rotates among very volatile funds: TQQQ=3x Nasdaq, SPXL=3x S&P 500, SOXL=3x semis; their “short” opposites SQQQ/SOXS; UVXY=volatility spike hedge; BIL=Cash (T‑bills). RSI = a 0–100 “heat” gauge of recent moves (>70 hot, <30 cold).
It buys 3x bulls after sharp drops (cold RSI), goes to cash when risk looks high (big drawdowns), and briefly hedges/shorts after big spikes (hot RSI). Extra brakes use VIX and bond‑vs‑stock trend checks.
Out-of-sample, this strategy shows higher risk-adjusted gains: ~59% annualized return vs ~23% for the S&P, Sharpe ~1.46 vs ~1.43, Calmar ~2.03. Strong upside with risk controls, though max drawdown (~29%) exceeds the S&P (~19%).
