This strategy usually asks one question: “Is it safe to aggressively bet on big U.S. tech stocks right now?” If yes, it buys TQQQ, a fund that tries to triple the daily move of the Nasdaq-100. If tech looks badly shaken, it often moves to BIL, a very short-term Treasury fund that acts like a cash parking spot. In rare cases, it buys VXX, which rises when market fear jumps, or SOXL, a high-risk semiconductor fund, after a sharp tech selloff when it expects a rebound.
