TQQQ or not - Replace UVXY w/ SOXS

A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

A daily, rules-based strategy that tries to ride tech rallies with TQQQ, step aside to T‑bills when risk spikes, and occasionally make short, tactical bets against semiconductors (SOXS) or on market fear (UVXY) using simple “hot/cold” and trend checks.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks tech momentum (QQQ/TQQQ). If TQQQ looks very hot (RSI high), it briefly bets against chip stocks (SOXS). If crashes hit, it may buy a fear fund (UVXY) or buy the dip (TQQQ). In calmer uptrends it holds TQQQ; otherwise it parks in T‑bills (BIL). RSI = 0–100 heat gauge.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~54% annualized returns vs ~23% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.19—strong risk-adjusted upside. Drawdowns can be larger, but adaptive risk controls (cash/T-bills and hedges) target bigger gains while protecting capital.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
