About

A daily, rules‑based switcher. In calm uptrends it rides ~3× stock funds (esp. NASDAQ‑100). When volatility jumps or trends break, it retreats to Treasuries/cash/dollar and uses hedges (inverse NASDAQ, VIX funds). High activity and risk.
NutHow it works
Daily, it checks: 1) trend (price vs a recent average), 2) a short‑term hot/cold score (how many up vs down days), 3) big drops/spikes and volatility, 4) bonds vs stocks. If trend is up and calm, it holds ~3× stock funds (mainly NASDAQ‑100). If shaky or falling, it shifts to Treasuries/T‑Bills/US dollar or adds hedges (inverse NASDAQ and VIX “fear” funds). After very sharp sell‑offs, if prices look washed out, it may buy for a brief rebound.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets tech-led uptrends with leverage and hedges during volatility. It delivers ~56% annualized return vs SPY ~23%, with Calmar ~1.96 and Sharpe ~1.36—aiming for higher growth with managed risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
