About

Daily, rules-driven “risk-on/risk-off” tech strategy. It rides Nasdaq uptrends with 3x ETFs (TQQQ/SOXL/TECL) and quickly de‑risks or shorts (PSQ/SQQQ/UVXY) when the market weakens or gets overheated. Uses moving averages, recent % moves, and an RSI heat gauge.
NutHow it works
Each day it asks: Is SPY above its 200‑day average (average price over 200 days)? If yes, play offense with 3x tech/Nasdaq funds (mainly TQQQ; sometimes SOXL/TECL). If a “heat” gauge (RSI, 0–100; high=overbought, low=oversold) is very high or gains are extreme, flip to hedges (UVXY or SQQQ). If SPY is weak, cut leverage, sometimes short via PSQ/SQQQ, or hold SPY/QQQ/DIA/XLP. It also uses the 20‑day average, recent % moves, and a bond check (TLT vs SQQQ) to choose risk‑on vs hedge.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample upside is compelling: ~95% annualized return vs SPY ~23%, Sharpe ~1.43, Calmar ~1.65. Tech-led rallies with timely hedges offer stronger long-run risk-adjusted gains than the S&P 500, though drawdowns can be larger in downturns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
