About

Rules-based, high-octane swing strategy. Uses a trend filter and an RSI “heat” gauge. In uptrends it’s mostly 80% TQQQ + 20% SOXL, but flips to UVXY if things look overheated. In downtrends it buys big dips or shifts to SQQQ/TLT; otherwise toggles SOXS/SOXL. High risk.
NutHow it works
It times leveraged ETFs using RSI (0–100 heat meter of recent moves) and moving averages (trend). Uptrend: SPY above its 200‑day avg → default 80% TQQQ (3x Nasdaq‑100) + 20% SOXL (3x semis); if RSI looks overheated, flip to UVXY (volatility). Downtrend: SPY below 200‑day → buy 3x bulls on deep dips (TECL or UPRO when RSI<~30); else choose SQQQ (3x inverse Nasdaq‑100) or TLT when the short‑term trend is down; otherwise toggle SOXS/SOXL. Very volatile.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy outperforms the S&P on risk-adjusted grounds: Sharpe ~1.31 vs 1.14, Calmar ~1.92, annualized ~99% vs ~20%. Accepts higher drawdowns (~52% vs ~19%) for strong upside in volatile markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
