About

A tactical switcher that holds one of TQQQ, TECL, UPRO, SQQQ, UVXY, or BSV. It uses market trend (SPY vs 200‑day), short‑term “heat” (RSI), and recent moves to ride tech uptrends, hedge with volatility, or go defensive/short when trends weaken.
NutHow it works
1) Trend check: Is the S&P 500 (SPY) above its 200‑day average? If yes, it mostly rides big‑tech via TQQQ. If short‑term overheated (RSI ~>75–80) it flips to UVXY; if washed‑out (RSI <30) it uses TECL; after sharp 6‑day drops it may briefly hedge with UVXY. 2) If SPY is below its 200‑day: try quick bounces in TECL/UPRO if oversold; else follow momentum: above 20‑day → TQQQ; below → SQQQ or BSV; if volatility spikes, hold UVXY. RSI = 0–100 heat gauge; moving avg = average price. Tickers: TQQQ=3× Nasdaq‑100; TECL=3× Tech; UPRO=3× S&P 500; SQQQ=−3× Nasdaq‑100; UVXY=2× VIX/volatility; BSV=short‑term bonds.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this tactical trend strategy beats the S&P on risk-adjusted returns: oos Sharpe 1.25 vs 1.10, oos annual return 89% vs 19%, Calmar 1.67. It rides tech rallies with hedges; higher upside, but larger drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
