A high-risk switching strategy that mostly bets hard on tech in good markets, but flips to fear, bonds, or short positions when conditions look overheated or weak.

This strategy is an all-or-nothing market switcher. First it asks: is the U.S. stock market in a healthy long-term uptrend? If yes, it usually buys TQQQ, a fund that tries to deliver 3x the daily move of the Nasdaq-100. But if the market looks too overheated, it switches to UVXY, a fear/volatility fund. It also compares tech strength (XLK) to KMLM, a managed-futures fund that often does better in rough markets. If tech is weaker than KMLM, it may short the Nasdaq with SQQQ. If the market is not in a long-term uptrend, it becomes more defensive. It may briefly buy beaten-down stocks for a rebound, but otherwise it leans toward long Treasury bonds (TLT) or a bearish Nasdaq position (SQQQ), depending on which looks stronger.

Out-of-sample annualized return ~64.8% vs ~17.8% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.70 and Sharpe ~1.11. A disciplined, tech-heavy rotation aims to capture bigger upside in good markets while actively managing risk—though max drawdown can be ~38%.
