About

A rules-based, tech-tilted strategy that rotates among stocks, Treasuries, cash, and VIX/inverse funds. It uses long-term trend for offense/defense and short-term “heat” gauges to take profits, hedge, or attempt oversold bounces. High use of leveraged ETFs.
NutHow it works
Your money is split across several rule-driven “mini-strategies.” A long-term trend check (price vs 200‑day average) decides offense (own stocks, mostly tech) or defense. Short‑term “speed/heat” gauges (overbought/oversold) then fine‑tune: shift to cash, Treasuries, gold, short the market, or use VIX‑linked funds. It presses winners in trends and hedges when moves look too fast.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample results show this multi-sleeve strategy delivers better risk control and compelling upside vs the S&P: Calmar ~1.13, max drawdown ~14.6% vs ~18.8%, and ~16.6% annualized return vs ~18.7%.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
