About

A rules-based, tech-tilted strategy that shifts between 1x/2x/3x Nasdaq exposure, short positions, and brief volatility hedges based on trend, heat (RSI), and drawdowns. A 40% sleeve simply holds TQQQ when rising, or defensive XLP when not.
NutHow it works
Two sleeves: 60% tactical, 40% trend toggle. Checks trend (price vs its average), “heat” (RSI: 0–100) and recent returns. In uptrends it holds QQQ/QLD/TQQQ; if overheated it sometimes hedges (UVXY/SQQQ). In pullbacks/crashes it cuts risk or flips short (PSQ/SQQQ), using TLT as a cue. 40% holds TQQQ if rising, else XLP. Key: TQQQ/QLD/QQQ=3x/2x/1x Nasdaq; SQQQ/PSQ=inverse; SPY=S&P500; TECL=3x tech; SOXL/SMH=semis; DIA=Dow; XLP=staples; UPRO/SPXL=3x S&P; UVXY=vol; TLT=Treasuries.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample return ~83% vs SPY ~21%, Sharpe ~1.45 vs ~1.32, Calmar ~1.63—strong risk-adjusted upside. Nasdaq-tilted, rules-based strategy seeks bigger gains with disciplined risk; note higher drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
