About

Daily, rules-based switches among supercharged Nasdaq/S&P funds, cash-like T‑bills, or Treasuries. Uses a long‑term trend filter and a short‑term “heat” gauge to ride uptrends, fade extremes, or hedge in downtrends. Very volatile due to 3x ETFs.
NutHow it works
It first checks trend: if the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average, it usually holds TQQQ (a 3x daily Nasdaq‑100 fund). If a short‑term “heat” gauge (10‑day RSI: 0–100) is very high, it de‑risks to BIL (T‑bills) or splits BIL/VOO (plain S&P 500). If SPY is below its 200‑day, it buys sharp dips in TECL or UPRO when RSI is very low; otherwise it chooses SQQQ (3x inverse Nasdaq) or TLT (Treasuries) by recent strength. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe 1.76 vs SPY 1.03; Calmar 9.75; max drawdown ~20% vs ~4.5%. A regime-based, rules-driven strategy that uses leverage and hedges to target far higher risk-adjusted returns than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
