An aggressive market-timing strategy that chases strong tech trends, hedges when markets look overheated, and falls back to a defensive stock basket or hedges when conditions weaken.

This strategy first asks: is the U.S. stock market in a healthy uptrend or not? In good markets, it usually leans into leveraged Nasdaq exposure like TQQQ, but if stocks look too hot it may switch into volatility funds like UVXY or VIXY as a short-term hedge. When conditions are mixed, it falls back to a stock basket of Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, Costco, and GE. In weak markets, it may buy beaten-down tech, hide in long Treasuries, bet against the Nasdaq, or use defensive/high-beta funds depending on momentum.

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
